Pressure Locked RhinoGrid Grating is manufactured by using Flat Bar and Round Bar. The Flat Bar is punched with 8mm holes and then placed side-by-side in our Automated Grating Press. Round Bar (or Transverse Bar) is inserted into the holes before the manufacturing process can begin. The Grating Press pressurizes and crimps the round bar which prevents the flat bar from moving. This process ensures permanent locking and accurate bearer bar pitching. The Flat Bar (or Bearer Bar) can be ordered with a smooth or non-slip serrated surface.
Pitch is the distance centre-to-centre of the bearer bars, or centre-to-centre of the transverse bars. Pitch is not the size of the openings. Available Pitches in our range are:

a Bearer Bar is the load-carrying flat bar section running between supports. This dimension is always referred to as the span even if it is shorter than the width. The Bearer Bar is always the first dimension mentioned in the size of a panel, ex. BearerBar X TransverseBar.
